Visual identity
ZOB is known for its explosive live performances that encourage direct interaction with the audience. Through their music, ZOB represents a powerful voice of a generation seeking change and liberation from certain social and political constraints. The band left a lasting mark on the history of punk music in Romania and remained a symbol of the struggle for freedom of expression.
The visual identity attempts to capture the rebellious, challenging and free spirit of the band. The proposed logo is a custom wordmark that unites the 3 letters in a direct, clear and assumed way. The sharp angles, the uniform thickness of the letter characters, and the horizontal line that crosses the logo evoke the incisive, direct and uncensored character of the band.
The symbol is a visual abbreviation of the wordmark, being easily transformed into an emblem that distills the band's personality and can be easily used in visual communication. In addition to the symbol and wordmark, the identity is complemented by special typographic elements, using fonts and symbols that convey an optimistic energy.
The use of brand color and photography style complements ZOB's identity, putting their show in a unique, distinct light.
