GLORIAE

GLORIAE is the first private art gallery in Oltenia, opened in Craiova, which aims to create a vibrant center for the artistic community, a place where people can connect, learn and inspire each other. Through a distinctive visual identity and a coherent creative platform, GLORIAE aims to become a reference point in the local artistic landscape.

The vision of this special space belongs to Gloria Berceanu - gallerist and future graduate of the Faculty of Art History and Theory - who set out to create a vibrant center for the artistic community, a place where people can connect, learn and inspire each other. He envisioned this gallery as an extension of his soul, a place that would address primarily the community, the general public, those who love art, and those who do not yet know that they love it.

The Business Challenge

GLORIAE Art Gallery aimed to promote local and international artists, creative young people and students of art faculties. Through branding, the gallery aims to position itself as an open and welcoming space for meetings, socializing and discovering art, stimulating the local artistic scene and repositioning the city of Craiova on the national cultural map.

Branding solution

We approached the GLORIAE branding by developing a complete Creative Platform, along with a strategic communication plan based on the values of the gallery: empathy, community, authenticity and freedom. We have thus distilled the vision, mission and attributes that distinguish the GLORIAE brand. This is how we also elaborated the essence of the brand: “Connect through emotions”. This represents the deep emotional connection between artists and the audience. It is not a slogan, but the living essence of the brand, designed to remain relevant and inspiring over time. Starting from the Latin roots of the word “gloriæ” we have created a modern, courageous and determined logo that reflects elegance and passion for art, with a classic inspiration. The letter characters that make up the wordmark have been carefully customized, in a stencil style and retain the idea of the special Latin ligature “Æ”, often used in classical texts, carved with a chisel. Along with a color palette and a modern font family, the created visual identity highlights the brand's features.
